Programs
Different formats. A shared public mission.
Our programs translate human factors research and practice into conversations, short lessons, written resources, and event coverage.
01Long-form media
Human Factors Cast
Since 2016, the podcast has brought researchers and practitioners into conversations about technology, design, safety, work, and the way people interact with systems. The Foundation formed in 2026 and operates the podcast as a public science communication program.
Episodes and transcripts are available on the podcast site. Its archive contains discussion and historical material from before the Foundation existed.

02Short lessons
Human Factors Minute
Brief explanations introduce human factors concepts in a format that people can listen to and share. The shorter format offers an entry point for someone who may not have the time or background for a longer research discussion.
03Volunteer collaboration
Digital Media Lab
The volunteer lab explores ways to communicate psychology, engineering, ergonomics, and human factors through writing, audio, video, design, and other formats. It gives contributors a place to test practical approaches to clear science communication.

04Beyond the venue
Conference coverage
Interviews and reporting help carry professional discussions beyond an event’s attendees. Coverage gives the wider community a way to hear ideas, questions, and perspectives from people working in the field.
05Open learning
Public resources
Articles and explainers make core ideas available in written form, without a membership gate. They complement the media programs and give readers a starting point for thinking about systems in daily life.
