We leverage our network of board members, local business owners, community partners, and industry leaders to be the bridge between our youth’s aspirations and realtiy

Overview

HFCF is committed to seeing, engaging, uplifting and supporting our youth. Our intention is to be a conduit to assist the youth of Harlem to be competitive and to thrive as they mature, enter the workplace and build dynamic lives. We will do this by:

  • Partnering with Harlem-based resources that focus on youth development and education

  • Engage young people in S.T.E.A.M. activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics)

  • Create confidence-building opportunities to promote clear and effective communication

  • Design mentoring moments that connect youth cross-generationally with leaders who will support their growth

Events & Initiatives

HCF Foundation x Dr Yolanda Cares & FCBC Hope Center
Teen & Children’s Holiday Programs

HCF Foundation partnered with Dr Yolanda Cares Foundation to sponsor the FCBC NYC Hope Center Teen Holiday Party. A product donation of the HCF Design Challenge merchandise was provided for the gift bags given to each Teen. A children's holiday party featuring Santa and Mrs. Claus was also produced.  Presented by local restaurant The Row Harlem, additional sponsors included Northwestern Mutual/Vivid Advisory and Chocolat Restaurant. The children created their own Gingerbread houses and hand painted stuffed toys. Refreshments were provided by food sponsors The Little Hot Dog Wagon, Dunkin Donuts and Sforno Pizza. Over 50 parents and children attended the event from the First Corinthian Baptist Church (FCBC) and NYCHA communities, as well as a hotel shelter in midtown that provides support services to immigrant families from Latin America. Each child received a gift from a toy drive sponsored by members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc from Harlem to Delaware.
